Using this site means accepting what follows. It is short, because there is not much to it: we publish research, you make your own decisions, and nobody books anything through us.

Every price, opening hour, fare and closure on this site is checked against the operator's own published figure and dated on the page. Then it starts going out of date. Tariffs are revised, attractions close for renovation, ticket types are renamed, and the exchange rate moves under every ringgit figure here at once.

So: the operator's own page is the final word on price and availability on the day you travel, and we publish the gate prices precisely so you can check us. If you find a figure here that is wrong, tell us at [email protected] — a wrong live fact is the fastest thing we act on, and several pages on this site exist because somebody pointed one out.

Verdicts — WORTH IT, DEPENDS, SKIP — are our opinion, argued from the price and the experience and shown with the reasoning attached. They are not a rating system, not an aggregate of anybody else's reviews, and not a promise about what you will personally enjoy.

This site sells nothing. When you click through to a booking, your contract is with that provider and nobody else. Cancellations, refunds, changes, complaints and anything that goes wrong on the day are matters between you and them, under their terms.

Some of those links earn us a commission and every partner is named on the disclosure page. It does not change your price and it does not change the verdict — the site recommends the RM2.60 train over a commissionable tour wherever the train is the better answer, which is often.

The writing, the structure and the research on this site are ours. Quote us, argue with us and link to us freely — that is what it is for, and a credit and a link are all we ask. Republishing pages wholesale is not on.

Photographs belong to the photographers credited on the photo credits page and are used under their own licences, which do not transfer to you.

We link to external sites we think are useful and have no control over what they publish afterwards. To the extent the law allows, this site is offered as it is, and we are not liable for a decision you took on the strength of it — which is a lawyer's way of saying: check the opening hours before you get on the train.
